In 1969 Lee Martin was born and raised in Southwest Michigan. After spending 15 years running a mortgage company he decided to pursue his passion for photography.
As a lifelong amateur photographer Lee is mostly self-taught. However, to achieve a well-rounded knowledge of photographic techniques, from composition to post processing, Lee has received training from the New York Institute of Photography as well as National Geographic and Adobe. To further his understanding of art in Photography, Lee has worked in the Seattle Art Museum with their
special projects and events and attended The Sotheby's Institute for Art and Business.
Lee has shown work at the DSU Art Gallery in North Dakota and the Gallery on Bainbridge in Seattle.
In 2004 Lee re-located to Bainbridge Island. An area ideal not only for its natural beauty, but for the colorful people that comprise the pacific northwest.
Recently Lee has spent an extended period of time in Italy, Paris and London absorbing the cultures as well as the beautiful countryside found in each area. Lee is curently living in Tuscany, in Italy.
